You can find a range of free and paid services via their website and can order or download the Marine Weather Services Handbook 2004 online. Services include: MetFAX Marine, MetWEB Marine, Mobile marine services, Talk to a forecaster, Marinecall, plus they also publish various forecasts.

Royal Yachting Association (RYA)
The RYA website covers all aspects of recreational boating and sailing including learning and training courses, and an excellent directory.

Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI)
The 'Sea Safety' and 'Waves' sections have loads of useful info on sea safety issues for all types of sea users including a free RNLI 'Sea Check' for your boat. Plus you can see where lifeboats have been launched on their 'live' map.
